Job summary

Sumisho Motor Finance Corporation in the Philippines seeks a Field Collections Specialist focused on debt recovery for motorcycle portfolios. The role requires visiting customers, collecting payments, issuing receipts, and resolving inquiries, with emphasis on securing Pay Letters when needed.

You will report to the San Fernando, La Union branch and must own a motorcycle and hold a valid Non-Professional Driver's License.

Qualifications

• Must have college-level education, a 2-year vocational course, or a Bachelor's/College Degree in any field.
• Must possess a valid Non-Professional Driver's License and own a motorcycle.
• Willing to perform fieldwork and report to the San Fernando, La Union branch.

Responsibilities

• Visit assigned customers daily and collect debt payment.
• Issue receipts on payment received and remit to authorized payment channels.
• Assist in the resolution of customer’s concerns and queries.
• Secure Promise to Pay Letter, Voluntary Surrender Letter if applicable.
• Update new customer contact information.
• Remit all collections received after 3:00 PM to Sumisho’s account and secure duplicate copy of the deposit slip with machine validation.
• Counsel customers on managing the account.
• Filing complaints and attend mediations if needed.
• Issue demand letter to customers who cannot be reached.
• Pull-out and inspect actual motorcycle from delinquent customers who are unable to pay.
• Perform other related functions that may be assigned by the BCTL.

Job description

Qualifications:

• Candidate must have at least a college-level education, a 2-year vocational course, or a Bachelor's/College Degree in any field.
• Required skill: Motorcycle driving.
• Must have proven experience in negotiation and motorcycle repossession.
• With 6 months to 1 year of experience as a Credit Verifier, Field Collector, Field Repossessor, or Skip Tracer.
• Must be willing to perform fieldwork.
• Must be amenable to reporting to the San Fernando, La Union branch.
• Must possess a valid Non-Professional Driver's License and own a motorcycle unit.

Field Collections:

a. Visit assigned list of customers indicated in the FS (Field Specialist’s) daily itinerary and collect debt payment.

b. Issue receipts on payment received and remit them to authorized payment channels.

c. Assist in the resolution of customer’s concerns and queries.

d. Secure Promise to Pay Letter, Voluntary Surrender Letter if applicable, for those who are not able to pay.

e. Update new customer contact information.

f. Remit all collection received after 3:00 PM to Sumisho’s account and secure duplicate copy of the deposit slip with machine validation.

g. Counsel customers on managing the account.

h. Filing complaints and attend mediations if needed.

Demand Letter Issuance

a. Issue demand letter to customers who cannot be reached or contacted or those who are always out of the house.

Repossession

a. Pull-out and inspect actual motorcycle from delinquent customers who are unable to pay on the prescribed limits by the BCTL (Branch Collections Team Lead), FS (Field Specialist) Manager and Asset Control.

b. Perform other related functions that may be assigned by the BCTL (Branch Collections Team Lead).
