Job summary

OceanaGold Corporation is seeking an Engineer - Electrical Projects for the Didipio mine in the Philippines. You will lead electrical infrastructure projects from planning and design to construction, commissioning and close-out, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to required standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, R.E.E. with PRC licence, and at least 3 years of electrical project delivery experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Registered Electrical Engineer with a valid PRC licence.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical project delivery.
• Knowledge of HV/MV power systems, electrical standards, and construction practices.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and working knowledge of MS Project.
• Heavy industry experience and project management qualifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical projects from design through commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, operations, and project teams.
• Manage project documentation, schedules, costs, risks, and progress.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety, technical, and quality standards.
• Coordinate shutdowns, switching, tie-ins, and cutover activities.
• Monitor procurement, contracts, and project deliverables.
• Conduct field inspections and support QA/QC activities.
• Assist with testing, commissioning, and energisation of electrical systems.
• Maintain accurate handover and close-out documentation.
