OceanaGold is hiring an Engineer - Electrical Projects for the Didipio mine in the Philippines. The 2-year fixed term contract involves delivering electrical infrastructure projects from planning through construction, commissioning, and close-out.

You will work with engineering, construction, operations, and project teams to ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery to required standards. Key requirements include a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, PRC-registered EE, and 3+ years’

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Registered Electrical Engineer with a valid PRC licence.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical project delivery.
• Knowledge of HV/MV power systems, electrical standards, and construction practices.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

• Manage project documentation, schedules, costs, risks, and progress.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety, technical, and quality standards.

• Conduct field inspections and support QA/QC activities.
• Assist with testing, commissioning, and energisation of electrical systems.

The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company’s only asset that produces both gold and copper.Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine.

As a Engineer - Electrical Projects, you will Support the delivery of electrical infrastructure projects from planning and design through construction, commissioning, and close-out. Work with engineering, construction, operations, and project teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to required standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Registered Electrical Engineer with a valid PRC licence.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical project delivery.
• Knowledge of HV/MV power systems, electrical standards, and construction practices.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and working knowledge of MS Project.
• Heavy industry experience and project management qualifications are desirable.
