Job summary

OceanaGold Corporation is seeking a qualified Superintendent – Maintenance (Surface Electrical & Control Systems) to lead maintenance and reliability for surface electrical infrastructure at the Didipio Mine, Philippines. The role ensures safe, compliant operation of power generation assets, PLC/SCADA networks, and HV/LV reticulation.

The ideal candidate will have extensive mining experience, a PE license, and a track record in senior maintenance leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is required.
Professional Electrical Engineer (PEE) license in the Philippines is required or highly preferred.
Minimum 15 years electrical engineering experience in heavy industry/mining.
Minimum 10 years mining or heavy industrial experience.
Minimum 5 years in senior maintenance leadership roles.
Experience with HV transmission and distribution systems and power generation assets.
Experience with PLC, DCS and SCADA systems.
Desirable: Registered Electrical Engineer or Control Systems Engineer.

Responsibilities

Lead maintenance governance and technical direction for surface electrical infrastructure.
Ensure safe, reliable operation and maintenance of HV/LV distribution systems.
Oversee reliability engineering and root-cause analysis for equipment.
Manage budgeting and cost control through lifecycle costing.
Act as liaison with regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvement in electrical and dewatering equipment maintenance.
