Job summary
OceanaGold is seeking a Superintendent – Maintenance (Surface Electrical & Control Systems) to lead maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement of surface electrical infrastructure, power generation assets, HV/LV distribution and control systems at the Didipio mine in the Philippines.
The role serves as the principal electrical engineering liaison with regulators, ensuring safe, compliant operation.
Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering is required.
- Professional Electrical Engineer (PEE) license in the Philippines.
- Minimum 15 years electrical engineering experience.
- Minimum 10 years in mining or heavy industrial settings.
- Minimum 5 years in senior maintenance leadership roles.
- Experience with HV transmission and distribution systems.
- Experience with power generation assets and PLC, DCS, SCADA.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates existing design and applies improvements; assesses risks.
- Enhances engineering design and analyzes viability across applications.
- Assesses technology for reliability of equipment and processes.
- Runs asset life cycle costing and reliability analyses for production teams.
- Leads budgeting approaches and cost control in projects.
- Recommends actions to mitigate risks and hazards.
- Serves as SME in electrical and dewatering equipment installation and maintenance.
