Job summary

Wei Yuan Construction Management Inc is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team in Malabon City, Metro Manila. This full-time role involves designing, planning, and overseeing electrical systems for construction projects, ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards.

You will prepare drawings, coordinate with contractors, and oversee installation, testing, and commissioning while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Professional Electrical Engineer (PEE) licence or equivalent Philippines certification
• 3–5 years of professional electrical engineering experience in construction
• Strong CAD software and electrical design tools proficiency
• Knowledge of Philippine electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems, layouts, and schematics for construction projects
• Prepare detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation using CAD software
• Conduct site inspections and assessments to evaluate electrical infrastructure requirements
• Supervise and coordinate electrical installation work to ensure compliance with design plans and regulations
• Perform calculations for electrical load, power distribution, and system capacity
• Ensure all electrical work adheres to safety standards and building codes
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and other engineering disciplines to coordinate activities

About the role

Wei Yuan Construction Management Inc is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a full-time position based in Malabon City, Metro Manila. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing electrical systems and installations for our construction projects. You will play a critical part in ensuring that all electrical work meets safety standards, building codes, and project specifications, whilst contributing to the successful delivery of our construction management objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems, layouts, and schematics for construction projects

• Prepare detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation using CAD software

• Conduct site inspections and assessments to evaluate electrical infrastructure requirements

• Supervise and coordinate electrical installation work to ensure compliance with design plans and building regulations

• Perform calculations for electrical load requirements, power distribution, and system capacity

• Ensure all electrical work adheres to safety standards, building codes, and relevant regulations

• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and other engineering disciplines to coordinate project activities

• Conduct testing and commissioning of electrical systems prior to handover

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional qualification

• Professional Electrical Engineer (PEE) licence or equivalent certification in the Philippines

• Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in electrical engineering within the construction sector

• Strong proficiency in CAD software and electrical design tools

• Comprehensive knowledge of electrical codes, building regulations, and safety standards applicable in the Philippines

• Excellent understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Experience with project management and coordination on construction sites

• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and accuracy

• Preferred: Experience with Building Information Modelling (BIM) or other advanced design technologies

• Preferred: Knowledge of renewable energy systems or sustainable electrical design practices
