Job summary

Wei Yuan Construction Management Inc. is seeking an experienced Site Engineer in Tacloban City, Leyte. This full-time role oversees construction activities on-site, ensuring alignment with designs, schedules, and safety standards.

You will manage daily operations, reviews, and reporting to ensure quality delivery from start to finish. The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree, 3–5 years of site or project engineering experience, and proficiency with CAD and construction management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• PE licence or equivalent qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities and monitor progress against schedules and budgets.
• Inspect materials, equipment, and workmanship for compliance with specs and quality standards.
• Prepare and maintain site records, logs, reports, and issue/change documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and project teams for smooth site operations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage site surveys and quality control testing to verify structural integrity and material specs.
• Document variations and change orders with project managers and clients.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and implement corrective actions to maintain progress.
• Prepare technical reports and site documentation for management and clients.
• Liaise with local authorities and environmental agencies for regulatory compliance.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join Wei Yuan Construction Management Inc in Tacloban City, Leyte. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in overseeing the technical and operational aspects of our construction projects on-site. As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities comply with design specifications, safety standards, and project schedules. This position is integral to maintaining the quality and integrity of our projects from inception through completion.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities and monitor progress against project schedules and budgets

• Inspect construction materials, equipment, and workmanship to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards

• Prepare and maintain site records, including daily logs, progress reports, and documentation of any site issues or changes

• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure effective communication and smooth site operations

• Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure all personnel adhere to occupational health and safety regulations

• Manage site surveys and quality control testing to verify structural integrity and material specifications

• Document variations and change orders, liaising with project managers and clients regarding scope modifications

• Troubleshoot technical issues and implement corrective measures to maintain project progress

• Prepare technical reports and site documentation for submission to project management and clients

• Liaise with local authorities and environmental agencies to ensure compliance with applicable regulations

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline

• Professional Engineering (PE) licence or equivalent qualification in your jurisdiction

• Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in project engineering or site engineering roles

• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and building codes

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings and specifications

• Experience with construction management software and digital documentation systems

• Excellent understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Demonstrated capability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under deadline pressure

• Experience in the Philippines construction industry is highly advantageous

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD software is preferred
