Job summary

Vikings Group of Companies in the Philippines is seeking a Dining Services Leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of the dining and service areas, ensuring guests receive consistently high standards of service and a memorable experience.

You will lead and coach staff, coordinate with kitchen and other departments, monitor compliance with safety standards, optimize service flows, and help manage costs while maintaining a welcoming, clean dining environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the dining and service areas.
• Ensure excellent guest experience and consistently high standards of customer service.
• Lead, supervise, and motivate dining staff to achieve operational and service goals.
• Assign duties and prepare staff schedules based on business requirements.
• Monitor dining service, table setup, cleanliness, and overall restaurant presentation.
• Handle guest concerns, complaints, and special requests professionally and efficiently.
• Coordinate closely with the kitchen and other departments to ensure smooth service operations.
• Monitor food and beverage availability and coordinate replenishment when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, health, and safety standards.
• Conduct staff briefings, coaching, and performance evaluations.
• Train new employees on service procedures, company policies, and guest service standards.
• Monitor attendance, punctuality, grooming, and employee performance.
• Assist in controlling operational costs, including labor, supplies, and breakage.
• Monitor inventory and minimize wastage, loss, and unnecessary expenses.
• Prepare and submit operational reports as required by management.
• Ensure proper handling of cash, payments, and other financial transactions when applicable.
• Support the implementation of company policies, promotions, and operational programs.
• Coordinate with management to address operational issues and improve dining procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and welcoming dining environment.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
