Job summary

Black & White Engineering in Manila is seeking a Design Manager to own complex data centre design delivery. You will be the primary client contact, drive quality and multidisciplinary coordination, chair design meetings and manage delivery milestones across time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture with a professional licence.
• 6–10 years in design, engineering or construction, with at least 3 years in design management.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex projects on time and to budget.
• Strong end-to-end design process knowledge, QA/QC, and programme control.
• Experience with BIM processes and coordinating global teams.
• Excellent written and spoken English for client and stakeholder management.

As a Design Manager within our Lead Design Consulting team in Manila, you will be the central point of contact for clients and the driving force behind the quality and delivery of multidisciplinary design.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture or equivalent, with a relevant professional licence.
• 6–10 years of experience in design, engineering or construction, including at least 3 years in a project or design management capacity.
• Demonstrable experience managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex projects on time and to budget.
• Strong understanding of the end‑to‑end design process, including QA/QC, financial management and programme control.
• Experience working with BIM processes and managing information across virtual and global teams.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with the communication skills to manage clients, partners and internal stakeholders with confidence.
