Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking for an opportunity to lead major projects while developing the next generation of engineering talent?

As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering complex engineering solutions across large-scale projects. Combining technical leadership, client engagement and project coordination, this position offers the opportunity to influence project outcomes, support team development and contribute to engineering excellence across a global business.

You will take ownership of significant engineering projects, guiding electrical design from concept through to delivery. Your expertise will help ensure projects are delivered to the highest technical standards while meeting programme and client requirements.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Typically 10–15 years of experience within a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy environment.
• Experience delivering large-scale projects, ideally including data centres or other mission-critical facilities.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, including LV power systems, lighting, fire detection, earthing and lightning protection, and ELV systems.
• Experience undertaking MV power system studies, including load flow, short circuit, selectivity and coordination analysis.
• Good understanding of British Standards, IEC Standards and relevant industry regulations.
• Proficiency with electrical engineering software such as ETAP, Amtech, Dialux or equivalent design tools.
• Experience leading project teams, coordinating multidisciplinary activities and managing project delivery.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients, contractors and colleagues.
