Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking an IT Procurement Specialist to manage cost-effective sourcing of IT hardware, software, bandwidth and related services for our Data Center. The role requires hands-on vendor management, SAP-MM familiarity and strong negotiation skills.

You will prepare detailed commercial comparisons, release purchase orders with terms, formulate SLAs, and ensure timely conversion of PR to PO while coordinating with internal stakeholders and supporting RFPs, including government bids.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years IT hardware/software procurement experience.

Responsibilities

• Procure IT hardware, software, bandwidth and non-IT items for Data Center.
• Prepare detailed commercial comparisons of vendor proposals considering cost, quality, delivery timelines, and terms.
• Obtain approvals from relevant authorities according to established flows.
• Prepare Purchase Orders with detailed Terms & Conditions.
• Formulate SLAs for supplies and services for the Data Center.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement within procurement.
• Ensure timely conversion of PR to PO and OTIF adherence.
• Maintain healthy relationships with suppliers for timely support.
• Develop new vendors to maintain competitiveness and high quality standards.
• Evaluate and monitor vendor performance on regular intervals.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support Pre-sales for RFPs including Govt bids.
• Knowledge of SAP-MM for releasing Purchase Orders.
• Maintain accurate records / MIS of purchases, contracts/NDAs, and vendor communications.
