Qualifications

• Proficiency in financial modelling, cash flow analysis, and credit rating methodologies.
• Excellent attention to detail and integrity with confidential information.
• Knowledge of banking regulations, credit policies, and risk management practices.

About the role

We are seeking a Credit Analyst to join Filoil Logistics Corporation in Taguig City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our credit operations and risk management function. As a Credit Analyst, you will be responsible for evaluating creditworthiness, assessing financial risk, and supporting informed lending decisions within our banking and financial services division. This role is integral to maintaining the financial health of our organisation and protecting our assets whilst supporting sustainable business growth.

What you’ll be doing

• Analysing credit applications and financial statements to assess borrower creditworthiness and repayment capacity
• Evaluating credit risk factors, including industry trends, market conditions, and borrower financial performance
• Preparing detailed credit reports and recommendations for approval or denial of credit facilities
• Monitoring existing credit accounts and identifying early warning signs of potential defaults or deteriorating financial conditions
• Conducting thorough due diligence on borrowers, including background checks, collateral valuation, and verification of financial information
• Maintaining accurate credit documentation and ensuring compliance with lending policies and regulatory requirements
• Liaising with internal departments, borrowers, and external stakeholders to gather necessary information and clarify credit matters
• Supporting the development and implementation of credit policies, procedures, and risk mitigation strategies
• Keeping abreast of changes in credit market conditions, lending practices, and regulatory updates

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
• 2–5 years of professional experience in credit analysis, loan underwriting, or credit risk assessment within a financial institution or corporate credit environment
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret financial statements, ratios, and credit metrics accurately
• Proficiency in financial modelling, cash flow analysis, and credit rating methodologies
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with complex data and documentation
• Sound knowledge of banking regulations, credit policies, and risk management practices
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings clearly to stakeholders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with credit analysis software or banking systems
• Integrity and strong ethical standards, with the ability to handle sensitive financial information confidentially
• Preferred: experience in logistics, energy, or trading sectors; knowledge of collateral management; or professional certification such as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Credit Risk Certification
