Job description

We're looking for a Credit Analyst to join our team in the Philippines. You'll be responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of clients, managing risk, and making informed recommendations to support our business growth. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented, analytical graduate with a background in finance or a related field.

Key Area of Responsibilities:

  • Assess the creditworthiness of all borrowing accounts. This involves a deep dive into financial statements, evaluating management competence, and analyzing industry conditions to provide a solid basis for credit decisions and valuation reserves, ensuring compliance.
  • Responsible for providing individual credit risk ratings for all relevant accounts prior to their approval. You will also ensure full compliance with internal credit policies and other regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure timely risk rating of accounts with annual reviews aligned with the expiry of credit facilities. You will also review the Aging of Past Due Accounts (APDA) report monthly to assess the status of non‑performing accounts and make necessary adjustments.
  • For assessing refinancing, you will validate real estate cash flow projections and conduct sensitivity analysis to determine project viability and the borrower’s capacity to pay.
  • Write concise and effective credit reports that clearly communicate your analysis and recommendations.
  • Support in examining credit applications, identifying risk areas, and ensuring compliance with all policies and regulatory requirements. You will also assist during examinations of the company’s credit risk, working closely with various internal teams to ensure the company passes these examinations and avoids sanctions.
  • You may join calls with clients in critical industries to identify vulnerabilities and risks, helping you to make informed and intelligent recommendations.
  • From time to time, you will be required to work on special projects that need to be completed within a limited timeframe.
Nice to Haves:
  • You will stay current and maintain regulatory knowledge with the latest policies, particularly those related to the Anti‑Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Prevention Program (MLPP).
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Accounting, Management, Business Administration, Financial Management, or a related finance course.
  • Knowledge in account management or credit review, including evaluating credit proposals, validating and analyzing financial statements, and generating risk ratings for individual borrowers.
  • With experience in the real estate industry.
  • Deep understanding of real estate laws across commercial and residential land
  • Familiarity and ability to understand leases and do financial assessments
  • Knowledge in UK Laws is an advantage.
  • Strong ability to analyze complex financial data and identify key trends and risks.
  • Meticulous and accurate in data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace and other financial analysis software.
  • A proactive and resourceful approach to problem‑solving.
  • Understanding of the local financial market and regulatory environment is a must.
  • Keen interest in working in an AI and technology landscape and using these resources in field of legal and compliance
  • Experience in lending and offshore structures, exposure in the international financial world
