The Moment Group is seeking a Cost and Inventory Officer to safeguard inventory accuracy, manage cost analysis, and support financial reporting across its operations. This role partners with Finance, Operations, Procurement and Production to provide meaningful insights on inventory performance, cost movements, and operational efficiencies.

The Cost and Inventory Officer play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of inventory records, cost analysis, and financial reporting across The Moment Group's operations. This position serves as a key business partner to Finance, Operations, Procurement, Production, and other departments by providing meaningful insights on inventory performance, cost movements, and operational efficiencies.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong accounting foundation, advanced analytical capabilities, ERP system experience, and the ability to perform deep root-cause analysis beyond basic reporting. This role is particularly suited for professionals with experience in the Food & Beverage (F&B), Manufacturing, Retail, or FMCG industries.
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records across warehouses, commissaries, and operational sites.
Conduct regular inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock validations to ensure inventory accuracy.
Investigate inventory discrepancies and variances, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
Prepare inventory adjustment reports and ensure proper documentation and approval of inventory movements.
Ensure alignment between physical inventory, inventory subledgers, and financial records.
Analyze Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), inventory consumption, and cost-related transactions to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Perform detailed variance analysis on inventory, food costs, material usage, and operational expenses.
Conduct comprehensive root-cause analysis for unusual cost fluctuations and operational variances.
Assist in establishing, reviewing, and updating standard costs based on actual operating conditions and business trends.
Develop actionable recommendations to improve profitability, reduce wastage, and strengthen cost controls.
Ensure accurate costing and inventory data within ERP and accounting systems.
Reconcile inventory subledgers with General Ledger balances and investigate discrepancies.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to inventory and cost accounting.
Prepare periodic reports, dashboards, and management presentations on inventory and cost performance.
Maintain data integrity and compliance within inventory and financial systems.
Collaborate with Procurement, Production, Warehouse, Operations, Quality Assurance, and Finance teams on inventory and costing concerns.
Support operational departments by providing insights and recommendations based on financial and inventory data.
Participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at strengthening inventory controls and operational efficiency.
Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization.
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Management Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, or a related field.
Candidates with a strong accounting background are highly preferred.
Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Cost Analysis, Inventory Management, or Financial Analysis.
Experience in the Food & Beverage (F&B), Manufacturing, Retail, FMCG, or related industries is strongly preferred.
Experience handling inventory reconciliation, costing analysis, and financial reporting is an advantage.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as Business Central, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
Proven experience in reconciling inventory subledgers and General Ledger balances.
Strong understanding of inventory accounting, cost accounting, and financial reporting principles.
Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including Pivot Tables, Lookup Functions, Data Analysis, and complex formulas.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to perform deep root-cause analysis.
Ability to interpret large volumes of data and translate findings into actionable business recommendations.
Detail-oriented with strong investigative and problem-solving capabilities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to clearly articulate findings, recommendations, and business impacts to different stakeholders.
