About the role
The Inventory Analyst is responsible for monitoring and maintaining accurate inventory records across warehouse and logistics operations. The role analyzes inventory movements, stock levels, discrepancies, and operational data to ensure optimal inventory availability, accuracy, and cost efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor daily inventory levels, stock movements, receipts, transfers, and dispatches.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP/WMS and ensure system data matches physical inventory.
- Analyze inventory variances and investigate discrepancies, damages, losses, and adjustments.
- Conduct and coordinate cycle counts and periodic physical inventory counts.
- Prepare inventory reports, dashboards, and KPIs for management.
- Monitor stock levels and identify slow-moving, excess, obsolete, and fast-moving items.
- Support inventory replenishment and help maintain appropriate minimum/maximum stock levels.
- Coordinate with warehouse, purchasing, logistics, production, and sales teams to resolve inventory issues.
- Track inbound and outbound shipments and identify potential inventory or delivery issues.
- Analyze warehouse and logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in inventory, warehouse, logistics, supply chain, or a related analytical role.
- Experience with ERP/WMS systems and inventory management processes.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and basic data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work with warehouse teams and handle time-sensitive operational issues.
- Willingness to conduct physical inventory counts and work in a warehouse environment when required.
