About the role

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Cook to join our hotel's culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking food according to established recipes, quality standards, and food safety procedures while ensuring consistent taste, presentation, and portioning.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items according to standardized recipes and established hotel standards.
• Perform mise en place, including washing, cutting, marinating, seasoning, portioning, and other food preparation tasks.
• Prepare dishes efficiently while maintaining consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
• Work efficiently at assigned kitchen stations and assist other sections when needed.
• Maintain proper food handling, storage, sanitation, and kitchen hygiene practices.
• Monitor the quality and freshness of ingredients and report any issues to the immediate supervisor.
• Ensure proper storage and labeling of prepared food and ingredients.
• Minimize food waste and practice proper portion control.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, kitchen equipment, and utensils.
• Assist in buffet, banquet, room service, and other hotel food operations as assigned.

About you

• At least 1–2 years of experience as a Cook in a hotel, restaurant, or similar food-service establishment.
• Experience in hotel kitchens is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of various cooking methods, food preparation techniques, and kitchen equipment.
• Familiarity with standardized recipes, portion control, and food safety practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Good teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
• Physically capable of performing kitchen duties and standing for extended periods.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.
• Culinary education, TESDA certification, or related training is an advantage.
• Experience handling Western, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, or other East Asian cuisine is highly encouraged.
