The Kitchen Staff - Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to the Company's approved recipes, standards, and procedures. The position ensures that food is prepared consistently, safely, and efficiently while maintaining proper portioning, quality, taste, presentation, and timeliness.
Prepare and cook menu items according to approved recipes, procedures, and Company standards.
Perform food preparation tasks such as washing, cutting, chopping, slicing, marinating, seasoning, and portioning ingredients.
Ensure proper measurement and portioning of ingredients to maintain consistency and control food costs.
Monitor the quality, taste, texture, appearance, and presentation of food before service or release.
Follow proper cooking methods, temperatures, and preparation times for all assigned menu items.
Ensure that food orders and production requirements are prepared accurately and within the required time.
Assist in preparing ingredients and food items needed for daily operations and scheduled production.
Follow proper food handling, storage, sanitation, and hygiene procedures at all times.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, preparation areas, storage areas, and other assigned kitchen areas.
Assist in inventory counting and stock-taking activities as assigned.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities that may reasonably be assigned by management.
At least High School, Senior High School or College Graduate
At least 1 year of experience as a Cook, Kitchen Staff, or in a similar food service position is preferred.
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
Ability to follow recipes, measurements, preparation procedures, and instructions accurately.
Knowledge of proper food handling, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices.
Ability to operate basic kitchen equipment and utensils safely and properly.
Ability to maintain food quality, consistency, portioning, and presentation.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Organized, reliable, and attentive to cleanliness and food safety.
Willingness to work on-site and to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.
Culinary training, certification, or relevant education is an advantage but not required.
