Job summary

TINKER-PRO INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS seeks a Computer Technician to service and support computer systems, POS equipment, and networks in Cebu. Travel, meals, and accommodation are fully covered by the company.

The role includes installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer support for hardware and software, with on-site and remote assistance and user training.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking, and hardware diagnostics.
• Basic understanding of LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, TCP/IP and Internet connectivity.
• Willing to travel and perform field service assignments.
• Good communication and customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, configure, and test desktop computers, laptops, and POS systems.
• Install and configure operating systems, drivers, and software applications.
• Diagnose and repair computer hardware, peripherals, and networking equipment.
• Install and troubleshoot receipt printers, barcode scanners, cash drawers, and other POS devices.
• Perform preventive maintenance and regular system inspections.
• Install, configure, and maintain CCTV systems, routers, switches, and wireless networks.
• Assist in deployment, installation, and configuration of TinkerPro POS software and related apps.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers.
• Conduct user orientation and basic system training for clients.
• Prepare technical reports, service documentation, and installation checklists.

About the role

The Computer Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and support of computer systems, point-of-sale (POS) equipment, peripherals, networks, and related IT solutions. The position ensures that all hardware and software provided to clients operate efficiently while delivering excellent customer service.

NOTE: WORK LOCATION IS CEBU, TRAVEL EXPENSES, FOOD AND ACCOMMODATION IS FULLY COVERED BY THE COMPANY!

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, configure, and test desktop computers, laptops, and POS systems
• Install and configure operating systems, drivers, and software applications
• Diagnose and repair computer hardware, peripherals, and networking equipment
• Install and troubleshoot receipt printers, barcode scanners, cash drawers, customer displays, and other POS devices
• Perform preventive maintenance and regular system inspections
• Install, configure, and maintain CCTV systems, routers, switches, and wireless networks

About you

• Graduate of Computer Technology, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronics, or any related course
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking, and hardware diagnostics
• Basic understanding of LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, and Internet connectivity
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Willing to travel and perform field service assignments
• Possesses good communication and customer service skills
• Honest, dependable, organized, and willing to learn
• Must be physically capable of lifting and transporting computer equipment when necessary
• Experience in computer repair and troubleshooting is an advantage
• Familiarity with POS systems, CCTV installation, and peripheral devices is an advantage
