Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Safety Engineer to lead on-site safety across construction sites in the Philippines. You will ensure compliance with safety standards, conduct inspections, and investigate incidents to drive immediate corrective actions.

You will also train staff, liaise with authorities, and maintain thorough safety records. The role requires a Civil Engineering background with a Philippine PE license and relevant certifications, plus 3–5 years of site safety experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Civil Engineer license in the Philippines required.
• Formal qualification in PCO, BOSH, COSH, SO1 or SO2 or equivalent certification preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in civil engineering with construction site safety management.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine building codes and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in safety documentation and incident reporting.

• Manage safety equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE) and emergency response procedures

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from a recognised institution
• Professional license as a Civil Engineer in the Philippines
• Formal qualification in PCO, BOSH, COSH, SO1, SO2 or equivalent certification
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in civil engineering with specific involvement in construction site safety management
• Demonstrated expertise in safety risk assessment, hazard identification and mitigation strategies
• Strong knowledge of Philippine building codes (National Building Code), safety regulations and international construction safety standards
• Proficiency in safety documentation, incident reporting and regulatory compliance procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of an organisation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and project management software
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required
• Preferred: Additional certifications in First Aid, CPR or specialist safety courses (e.g., confined space, working at heights)
