Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Safety Engineer to lead on-site safety across construction sites in the Philippines. You will ensure compliance with safety standards, conduct inspections, and investigate incidents to drive immediate corrective actions.

You will also train staff, liaise with authorities, and maintain thorough safety records. The role requires a Civil Engineering background with a Philippine PE license and relevant certifications, plus 3–5 years of site safety experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Civil Engineer license in the Philippines required.
• Formal qualification in PCO, BOSH, COSH, SO1 or SO2 or equivalent certification preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in civil engineering with construction site safety management.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine building codes and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in safety documentation and incident reporting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure strict compliance with safety standards across all sites.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and non-conformances.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near-misses, documenting findings and corrective actions.
• Provide safety training and induction programmes to site personnel, contractors, and visitors.
• Monitor compliance with Philippine safety regulations, building codes and international standards.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and prepare safety documentation and reports.
• Review designs and construction methodologies to identify safety risks.
• Maintain safety records, statistics and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to integrate safety in planning.
• Manage safety equipment, PPE and emergency procedures.
