Job summary

CHINA CONSTRUCTION FRONT GEN. DEVT. CORP. invites applications for a Site Engineer to supervise on-site activities in Manila, ensuring compliance with plans, codes and safety standards.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, 2–5 years of hands-on site management experience, and proficiency in reading drawings. You will coordinate with subcontractors and manage daily reports and quality control to maintain high workmanship on projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related construction discipline.
• 2–5 years of hands-on site engineer or similar role in construction management.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes in the Philippines.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings.
• Excellent understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all construction activities on-site to ensure adherence to approved plans, specifications, and building codes.
• Conduct daily site inspections and document progress, identifying deviations from project requirements.
• Manage quality control procedures and ensure materials and workmanship meet specified standards.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, labourers, and site personnel to ensure efficient workflow and safety compliance.
• Prepare and maintain detailed site records, daily reports, and project documentation.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and construction challenges in real-time.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
• Liaise with project managers and clients regarding progress updates and issues requiring escalation.
• Assist in quantity surveying and material procurement verification.
• Support training and development of site staff on safety procedures and work methods.

What we're looking for

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams

• Experience with construction management software and Microsoft Office applications

• Engineer licence is highly advantageous

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

• Physical fitness and willingness to work in various weather conditions on-site
