Job summary

Sun Life Philippines seeks Head of Compliance Governance to lead regulatory compliance across its Philippine entities. You will promote adherence to the Compliance Risk Management Framework and foster a strong risk culture among senior management and the business units.

The role requires overseeing policy development, reporting to regulators and the Board, and coordinating with regional teams to ensure robust compliance programs.

Qualifications

• University degree required; CPA certification or LLB degree preferred.
• 7+ years in compliance management within insurance or asset management.
• Experience in risk management of financial institutions is helpful.
• Ability to lead and challenge businesses on compliance matters.
• Excellent written and oral communication with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee SLFP’s compliance with legislations, regulatory expectations and internal requirements (local and Canada).
• Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulators and SLFP senior management.
• Partner with Compliance and Businesses to design and implement policies, procedures and standards.
• Identify and assess compliance requirements for products, activities and structures of SLFP entities.
• Provide advice and challenge on initiatives to address related compliance risks.
• Conduct training and education programs on rules, policies and guidelines.
• Chair committees or represent SLFP in industry organization meetings when needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the BUCO.
