Job description

About Unioil Petroleum Philippines, Inc.

Unioil Petroleum Philippines, Inc. is one of the country's leading independent downstream petroleum companies, operating a network of retail service stations and supplying fuels, lubricants, and petrochemical products to industrial, commercial, and retail customers across the Philippines. We are committed to delivering quality energy solutions while fostering a culture of excellence, integrity, and continuous growth.

Fuel the Future With Us

The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) is a member of the Executive Committee and the highest commercial authority within Unioil. This role owns the full revenue-generating engine of the business - spanning retail petroleum, commercial and industrial fuels, lubricants, and emerging channel strategies. The CCO drives commercial performance across all customer-facing segments: retail, commercial, and institutional - while cultivating strategic relationships in the construction, mining, fishing, transport, asphalt, and industrial sectors. This is not a desk role. The CCO is a visible market leader who builds revenue architecture, leads a high-performing commercial team, and positions Unioil as the partner of choice across the Philippines.

How You’ll Drive Success
  • Own and drive the overall commercial strategy across all business segments - retail, B2B fuels, lubricants, and industrial - aligned with the company's growth objectives and Board-level targets
  • Identify and pursue revenue opportunities across high-priority industries including construction, mining, fishing, transport, asphalt production, and petroleum-intensive commercial sectors
  • Define go-to-market strategies for each segment, including pricing architecture, channel mix, customer acquisition, and retention frameworks
  • Establish commercial KPIs and performance targets for all revenue-generating teams, and hold teams accountable through data-driven review cadences
  • Lead, coach, and scale a multi-function commercial organization encompassing retail sales, key accounts, fleet and industrial sales, dealer network, and inside sales
  • Build sales team capability at all levels - from field executives to senior account managers - through structured coaching, performance management, and talent development
  • Define and enforce a consistent sales methodology, pipeline discipline, and forecasting rigor across all channels
  • Drive cross-functional alignment between the commercial team and marketing, supply chain, logistics, and finance to ensure seamless customer delivery and margin performance
Key Account & Strategic Partnership Development
  • Personally manage and expand Unioil's portfolio of major commercial accounts in construction, mining, fishing, transport, and asphalt industries - building long-term, high-value relationships
  • Identify and close strategic partnerships, fleet agreements, and bulk supply contracts that drive volume growth and brand visibility
  • Lead enterprise-level negotiations for large-scale fuel supply agreements, ensuring favorable commercial terms while maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Maintain a strong pulse on the downstream petroleum landscape - monitoring competitor pricing, channel moves, regulatory changes, and emerging market dynamics
  • Leverage market insights to adjust commercial strategies in real time and identify whitespace for growth
  • Champion voice-of-customer insights within the organization to inform product, service, and pricing decisions
  • Own commercial P&L across retail and B2B segments - balancing volume targets, margin management, and customer profitability
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to develop annual commercial budgets, revenue forecasts, and investment cases for growth initiatives
The Expertise You Bring
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
  • MBA or post-graduate degree in Business, Commerce, or Sales Management is strongly preferred
Experience
  • Minimum 12-15 years of progressive commercial or sales leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior executive or C-suite commercial role
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth across multiple business segments in a petroleum, lubricants, fuels, or closely adjacent industry (strongly preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience managing commercial relationships across key Philippine industries - specifically construction, mining, fishing/maritime, transport/logistics, asphalt, and industrial sectors
  • Experience leading large, geographically dispersed commercial teams with full P&L accountability
  • History of successfully closing large-scale fuel supply contracts, fleet agreements, or bulk commodity deals
  • Experience operating in a fast-paced downstream petroleum or energy company is a significant advantage
  • Exceptional commercial acumen - able to architect deals, manage complex negotiations, and protect margins without compromising relationships
  • Strong strategic thinking paired with an execution mindset - can move from boardroom strategy to field-level execution without losing altitude
  • Deep network and credibility within the Philippine petroleum, industrial, or commercial fuels ecosystem
  • Outstanding leadership presence - able to inspire, align, and hold a large commercial organization accountable to results
  • Data-driven decision-making with a strong grasp of commercial analytics, pipeline metrics, and revenue forecasting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce, equivalent) and commercial analytics tools is an advantage
