Job summary

Thunderbird Resorts and Casinos seeks a Financial Controller to oversee the company’s financial management, accounting operations, and regulatory compliance. You will ensure accurate records, develop strategies, monitor budgets, and provide timely reports to guide business decisions.

Requirements include a CPA license and at least seven years in finance, with three in a managerial role. Hospitality or gaming experience is highly preferred, along with strong knowledge of Philippine tax and PAGCOR

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA license is required.
• At least seven (7) years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least three (3) years in a managerial role.
• Experience in hospitality, gaming, casino, or resort industry is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with PAGCOR regulations and casino financial operations is an advantage.
• Proficient in financial management systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all accounting records and financial reports.
• Monitor the company's financial performance and provide recommendations to senior management.
• Analyze financial data, trends, and variances to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Prepare management reports, forecasts, and financial analyses.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic financial forecasts.
• Monitor departmental budgets and operating expenses to ensure cost efficiency.
• Develop financial models and projections to support business initiatives and capital investments.
• Supervise general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and treasury operations.
• Establish and maintain effective internal controls and accounting procedures.
