About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Staff to join our sales team on a full-time basis, based in our Quezon City, Metro Manila office. This role is pivotal in driving our expansion efforts and identifying new market opportunities within the steel manufacturing sector. As Business Development Staff, you will be responsible for researching potential clients, building relationships with key decision-makers, and supporting the development of strategies to penetrate new markets and grow our customer base. This position plays a crucial role in generating revenue growth and establishing LEC Steel Manufacturing Corp. as a key player in emerging market segments.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and research prospective clients and market opportunities within designated territories and industry sectors
• Conduct market analysis and competitive research to inform business development strategies
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential business opportunities and track progress through the sales cycle
• Prepare proposals, quotations and presentations tailored to client requirements and specifications
• Build and nurture relationships with potential clients and key stakeholders to establish long-term business partnerships
• Support senior sales representatives in client meetings, negotiations and contract discussions
• Collaborate with internal departments including production, quality and customer service to ensure client needs are met effectively
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions, opportunities and outcomes using customer relationship management (CRM) systems
• Contribute to the development of sales collateral, case studies and marketing materials
• Monitor industry trends and provide insights to inform strategic business development initiatives

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Sales, Engineering or a related field
• Proven experience in business development, sales or account management roles, preferably within the manufacturing, steel or industrial sector
• Strong understanding of the steel manufacturing industry, product applications and customer requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships with clients at all levels
• Demonstrated ability to identify market opportunities and develop strategic approaches to business growth
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software
• Strong research skills and attention to detail in analysing market data and competitor information
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent organisational and time management skills
• Willingness to travel to meet clients and attend industry events as required
• Knowledge of B2B sales processes and supply chain dynamics is advantageous
• Previous experience in the construction, infrastructure or manufacturing sectors would be beneficial
