Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Management or related field; MBA preferred.
• 8–10 years of management experience, with at least 5 years in a business unit head or similar senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of leading units with P&L responsibility.
• Strong financial acumen with budgeting, forecasting and cost control experience.
• Excellent strategic thinking and planning; translate strategy into actionable plans.
• Outstanding leadership and people management capabilities.
• Knowledge of steel manufacturing or heavy industry is desirable.
• Strong operational management in production, quality, supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business strategies aligned with corporate objectives to drive revenue growth and market share expansion
• Manage P&L responsibilities including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control to achieve financial targets

About the role

LEC Steel Manufacturing Corp. is seeking an experienced Business Unit Head to lead and manage one of our key business operations. This is a full-time position based in Quezon City, Metro Manila. As Business Unit Head, you will be responsible for driving strategic direction, operational excellence, and financial performance of your assigned business unit. This role is crucial to our organisation's growth and success, requiring a leader who can balance strategic vision with hands-on operational management.

Key responsibilities

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Management or a related field; MBA or equivalent qualification is preferred
• Minimum 8-10 years of management experience, with at least 5 years in a business unit head or similar senior leadership role
• Proven track record of successfully leading and scaling business units or divisions with P&L responsibility
• Strong financial acumen with demonstrated ability to manage budgets, improve margins and drive profitability
• Excellent strategic thinking and business planning skills with the ability to translate strategy into actionable plans
• Outstanding leadership and people management capabilities, with experience in building and motivating teams
• In-depth knowledge of the steel manufacturing or related heavy industrial sectors is highly desirable
• Strong operational management skills including production, quality, supply chain and process improvement
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and business intelligence tools
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
