Job summary

Firefly Electric & Lighting Corporation is hiring a Business Development Specialist to identify growth opportunities and optimize marketing strategies nationwide. The role collaborates with field sales, leads bid activities, and builds relationships with designers and decision makers across the Philippines.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree, 2+ years in electrical/architectural sectors, a valid driver’s license, and strong negotiation and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in any field, preferably engineering/architectural background.
• At least 2 years of work experience; electrical/architectural/construction background is a plus.
• Must have a driver’s license.
• Strong negotiation and closing skills.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing abilities.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Generate leads from consultants and participate in bids, ensuring qualifications are met.
• Collaborate with field sales to join, negotiate, and close bids; support bid activities.
• Identify new opportunities for the Professional Division (e.g., HVAC, Solar EPC, institutions).
• Build relationships with Key Decision Makers and industry associations.
• Conduct FELCO solution presentations and tours for Developers, Contractors, and Designers; align product qualifications for bids.

About The Role

As a Business Development Specialist you are responsible for identifying opportunities for business growth and optimizing marketing strategies.

Other Requirements Include The Following

• Generating leads from new and existing lighting and electrical consultants and participates in bids by ensuring company and product qualifications are met
• Working closely with field sales teams to join, negotiate, and close bids and provides direct support in bid-related activities
• Identifying and exploring new opportunities and segments for the Professional Division, such as HVAC, Solar EPC, Institutional Coop, food chains, manufacturing/infrastructure
• Establishing relationships with Key Decision Makers and designers through targeted support, engagement with industry associations like the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers and United Architects of the Philippines
• Initiating and leading FELCO solutions presentations and tours for Developers, Contractors, and Designers and collaborates with field sales and product development teams to bridge the gap in product qualifications required to join bids and offer unique products
• To succeed and grow in this role, you will be required to meet the following requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in any Field, preferably an engineering / architectural course.
• At least 2 years of work experience; background in electrical or architectural and construction industries is an advantage.
• Must have a driver’s license
• Competency in negotiating and closing business deals
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
• Effective communication / presentation skills
