Job summary

Firefly Electric and Lighting Corporation is seeking a Business Development Specialist to identify opportunities for growth and optimize marketing strategies nationwide. You will work with consultants to generate leads, join and close bids, and expand into segments like HVAC and Solar EPC.

You will establish relationships with key decision makers, engage with industry associations, and lead FELCO solution presentations for developers, contractors, and designers, collaborating with field sales

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any field (engineering/architecture preferred).
• 2+ years in electrical/architectural/construction industries is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Generate leads from consultants and participate in bids, ensuring qualifications are met.
• Collaborate with field sales to join, negotiate, and close bids; support bid activities.
• Identify new opportunities and segments for the Professional Division (HVAC, Solar EPC, etc).
• Build relationships with decision makers and industry associations (IEE, UAP).
• Lead FELCO solution presentations and tours for developers, contractors, and designers.

About the Role

Reporting to: Business Development Manager

As a Business Development Specialist you are responsible for identifying opportunities for business growth and optimizing marketing strategies.

Other requirements include the following:

• Generating leads from new and existing lighting and electrical consultants and participates in bids by ensuring company and product qualifications are met
• Working closely with field sales teams to join, negotiate, and close bids and provides direct support in bid-related activities
• Identifying and exploring new opportunities and segments for the Professional Division, such as HVAC, Solar EPC, Institutional Coop, food chains, manufacturing/infrastructure
• Establishing relationships with Key Decision Makers and designers through targeted support, engagement with industry associations like the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers and United Architects of the Philippines
• Initiating and leading FELCO solutions presentations and tours for Developers, Contractors, and Designers and collaborates with field sales and product development teams to bridge the gap in product qualifications required to join bids and offer unique products

To succeed and grow in this role, you will be required to meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in any Field, preferably an engineering / architectural course.
• At least 2 years of work experience; background in electrical or architectural and construction industries is an advantage.
• Must have a driver’s license
• Competency in negotiating and closing business deals
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
• Effective communication / presentation skills
