Job summary

CMKO Geotechnical Services is seeking a Field-Based Business Development Officer to identify and develop new business opportunities through field visits and client meetings. You will promote geotechnical engineering and laboratory testing services to achieve revenue growth.

Responsibilities include generating leads, building client relationships, coordinating with the technical team for proposals, and providing market insight. Travel to client sites and events is expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or related field required.
• Experience in sales, marketing, business development, or client relations is advantageous.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills essential.
• Willing to conduct fieldwork and travel for client visits.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field visits to prospective clients, project sites, government agencies, contractors, developers, consultants and other target markets.
• Identify and generate new business leads through networking, referrals, cold calling, and market research.
• Schedule and conduct client meetings and presentations to introduce company services.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
• Gather client requirements and coordinate with the technical team for proposal preparation.
• Promote the company's services through direct client engagement and industry networking.
• Distribute company profiles, brochures, and marketing materials to prospective clients.
• Represent the company during business meetings, conferences, trade events, and industry activities.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
• Assist in preparing quotations, proposals, and bid documents.
• Follow up on submitted proposals and client inquiries.
• Maintain an updated database of leads, prospects, and client interactions.
• Provide regular reports on field activities, lead generation efforts, and business opportunities.
