The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving business growth, revenue generation, and strategic partnerships for the School’s education. The role focuses on expanding corporate and institutional accounts, identifying new market opportunities, and developing long-term client relationships that support the School and revenue objectives.
Lead and manage the Business Development team, setting individual and team targets, monitoring performance, and providing coaching and development.
Identify and develop new B2B corporate accounts, institutional partnerships, and strategic business opportunities for professional learning programs.
Build and maintain strong relationships with HR, L&D, Talent Management, senior executives, business leaders, and key decision-makers across target organizations.
Generate new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, industry events, corporate engagements, and other business development activities.
Develop business proposals, presentations, program recommendations, and commercial packages based on client requirements.
Manage the full business development cycle, from lead generation and client consultation to proposal, negotiation, closing, and post-engagement relationship management.
Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting, timely follow-ups, and conversion of opportunities.
Represent the School in corporate meetings, industry events, conferences, networking activities, and partnership engagements to strengthen its professional network and brand presence.
Prepare regular reports on business development activities, pipeline, revenue performance, market opportunities, and client engagement.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth coordination and delivery of programs, from client acquisition through program completion and post-engagement evaluation.
Promote the school’s brand, programs, faculty expertise, and value proposition while maintaining professionalism and the institution’s standards in all client engagements.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Education, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in Business Development, B2B Sales, Corporate Sales, Executive Education, or Professional Services.
Proven experience in client acquisition, account management, partnership development, and revenue generation.
Strong negotiation, presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Results-driven, commercially minded, and comfortable working with revenue targets.
Experience leading or mentoring a Business Development/Sales team is preferred.
