Job summary

MDM Systems, Inc. in the Philippines seeks a meticulous bookkeeper/assistant accountant to support AP, AR, bank reconciliations, journal processing, and intercompany calculations for an Australian client. Strong English communication and experience with Xero and ERP systems are essential.

You will maintain financial records, assist in reporting, and collaborate with cross-functional teams for accurate statements and timely insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or Accountancy.
• Experience with Microsoft ERP Business Central or similar ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Xero is essential.
• Solid understanding of AP, AR, bank reconciliation, journal processing, and intercompany calculations.
• 1-2 years of bookkeeping or assistant accounting experience.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent written and oral English communication.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable (AP): Manage and process invoices, track expenses, and propose weekly payment batches.
• Accounts Receivable (AR): Issue invoices, follow up on outstanding payments, and reconcile incoming funds.
• Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily, and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Journal Processing: Prepare and post journal entries in the accounting system.
• Intercompany Transactions: Process and reconcile intercompany transactions, ensuring correct allocation.
• Data Entry and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring all transactions are well documented and filed.
• Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports as required.
