Job summary

Your Corner in the Philippines is seeking an experienced accounting bookkeeper to support the accounting operations of Australian clients. You will manage accurate records, reconciliations, SMSF bookkeeping and BAS preparation, using Xero to ensure compliance with Australian GST rules.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in Australian accounting, strong English, and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Australian accounting or bookkeeping.
• Hands-on SMSF bookkeeping/accounting experience.
• Proficient in Xero and BAS/GST processes for Australian clients.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in records.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records for Australian clients
• Perform bank, credit card and other account reconciliations
• Process and categorise transactions in Xero
• Review general ledger accounts and identify discrepancies
• Prepare bookkeeping records for BAS and financial reporting
• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Maintain supporting documentation and organised client files
• Assist with bookkeeping and accounting for Self-Managed Super Funds
• Record investment transactions, dividends, distributions, interest and other investment income
