Job summary

Private Advertiser in Manila is seeking an experienced bookkeeper to manage day-to-day finance for Australian entities. You will handle end-to-end bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, intercompany transactions, and cross-charging, and process Australian payroll across multiple awards using Xero.

You will work closely with the internal team, communicating on financial, administrative, and day-to-day matters.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a bookkeeper for Australian businesses.
• Strong experience with Australian payroll across multiple awards.
• Advanced proficiency in Xero for bookkeeping and payroll.
• Solid understanding of Australian bookkeeping and payroll practices.
• Excellent spoken and written English with an Australian team.
• Strong organisational and time management skills; able to work autonomously.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proactive communicator, asks questions and avoids assumptions.
• Experience with intercompany transactions across multiple entities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end bookkeeping across 2 to 3 Australian entities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, intercompany transactions, and cross-charging.
• Process Australian payroll across multiple pay structures and awards using Xero.
• Reconcile bank accounts, expenses, and company credit cards.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and assist with month-end bookkeeping activities.
• Communicate directly with the internal team regarding financial, administrative, and operational matters.
• Work independently after an initial induction period, with support from the business owner and external accountant when required.
• Identify and follow up on discrepancies, missing information, or issues affecting financial records.
• Provide general administrative and operational support as required.
