Job summary

Boss Cargo Express Freight Services Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Assistant to join our team.

You will review billing rates, prepare invoices, and ensure all POD, DR, HWB documents are complete and aligned with contracts. You will coordinate with Operations, Sales, Customer Service, and Finance to resolve discrepancies, transmit invoices on schedule, and maintain accurate billing records in our systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in Billing, Accounts Receivable, Invoicing, or similar.
• Experience in logistics, freight forwarding preferred.
• Familiarity with freight billing documentation (POD, HWB, DR).
• Proficient in Excel and MS Office; familiarity with CERRO, SAP, QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate billing rates, charges, and shipment information for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and process customer invoices based on shipments, services, and documents.
• Ensure completeness of billing attachments (POD, DR, HWB, etc.).
• Monitor timely submission of PODs and supporting documents with Operations and departments.
• Validate billing transactions against records, contracts, and documents.
• Assist in reconciling billing records and addressing discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Operations, Sales, Customer Service, Finance to resolve billing issues.
• Transmit invoices to customers within billing schedules and cut-offs.
• Maintain accurate records in designated systems and monitor timelines.
• Communicate billing inquiries and discrepancies to customers as needed.
• Follow up on pending billing requirements to minimize delays.
• Prepare billing and reconciliation reports; identify process improvements.
