Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking an Automation Maintenance Engineer in the Philippines to perform preventive maintenance on robots and automation equipment, diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical issues, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and control panels. You will audit spare parts, ensure safety compliance, and support warehouse operations across Meycauayan sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Preferably PRC license or National Certificate II/III/IV in Electrical or Mechatronics.
• Working-at-height certification.
• 2–4 years in automation engineering, maintenance, conveyors, and material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular preventive maintenance on robots and automation equipment (conveyors, packing machines, AS/RS, robotic systems).
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, printers, scanners, and control panels.

Job Description:

• Perform regular preventive maintenance on robots and automation equipment (e.g. conveyors, packing machines, automated storage and retrieval system and robotic system)


• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on robots and automation equipment to minimize downtime


• Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, printers, scanners, and control panels.


• Conduct regular audit inventory of spare parts to ensure availability


• Ensure compliance of all automation systems with the safety standards


• Provide technical support to warehouse operations during daily activities


• Oversee materials handling equipment such as Reach trucks, Counterbalance, and Powered pallet truck


• Document maintenance activities

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering or Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.


• Preferably with PRC license or National Certificate II, III or IV in Electrical or Mechatronics


• Working-at-height certification


• 2 to 4 years of experience in automation engineering projects, equipment maintenance, conveyors, and material handling equipment. Experience with industrial automation is preferred.


• Knowledge of PLCs, HMI, VFD, robotics, and motor control


• Familiarity with conveyors, sortation systems, AS/RS and robotic


• Proficient in reading technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.


• Skilled in troubleshooting


• Knowledge of safety regulations, preventive maintenance, and asset management


• Excellent problem solving, and communication skills


• Mobile and able to support multiple warehouse sites or locations in Meycauayan
