Job summary

Shopee Philippines is seeking an automation engineer to ensure reliable operation of warehouse robotics and material handling equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and support daily warehouse activities to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting PLCs/HMI/VFDs, maintaining inventories of spare parts, and ensuring safety standards. Willingness to support multiple sites in Meycauayan is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering.
• License/certifications preferred (PRC or NC II–IV in Electrical/Mechatronics).
• 2–4 years in automation engineering, maintenance, conveyors or material handling.
• Knowledge of PLCs, HMI, VFDs, robotics and motor control.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics; proficient troubleshooting.
• Willingness to support multiple warehouse sites (Meycauayan).

Responsibilities

• Perform regular preventive maintenance on robots and automation equipment (conveyors, packing machines, AS/RS and robotic systems).
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, printers and control panels.
• Conduct spare parts inventory audits to ensure availability.
• Ensure compliance of automation systems with safety standards.
• Provide technical support to warehouse operations during daily activities.
• Oversee material handling equipment (Reach trucks, Counterbalance, Powered pallet truck).
• Document maintenance activities.

Job Description

• Perform regular preventive maintenance on robots and automation equipment (e.g. conveyors, packing machines, automated storage and retrieval system and robotic system)
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on robots and automation equipment to minimize downtime
• Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, printers, scanners, and control panels.
• Conduct regular audit inventory of spare parts to ensure availability
• Ensure compliance of all automation systems with the safety standards
• Provide technical support to warehouse operations during daily activities
• Oversee materials handling equipment such as Reach trucks, Counterbalance, and Powered pallet truck
• Document maintenance activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering or Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Preferably with PRC license or National Certificate II, III or IV in Electrical or Mechatronics
• Working-at-height certification
• 2 to 4 years of experience in automation engineering projects, equipment maintenance, conveyors, and material handling equipment. Experience with industrial automation is preferred.
• Knowledge of PLCs, HMI, VFD, robotics, and motor control
• Familiarity with conveyors, sortation systems, AS/RS and robotic
• Proficient in reading technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
• Skilled in troubleshooting
