Job summary

New World Rubber Corporation in the Philippines is seeking a skilled PLC Technician to install, configure, maintain, and repair PLC-based control systems and automation equipment.

You will read electrical diagrams, troubleshoot PLC programs, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate with engineers and production teams to minimize downtime, including rotating shifts.

Qualifications

  • Technical Diploma or Certificate in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 2–3 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably with PLC automated machines.
  • Strong troubleshooting ability in electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Omron).
  • Experience with HMI development and configuration and familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus).
  • Capable of reading electrical diagrams, PLC logic, mechanical blueprints, and equipment manuals.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to work independently or as part of a cross‑functional team.
  • Willing and able to work on rotating shifts, weekends, and respond to urgent maintenance issues when required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with machine installation, commissioning, and system upgrades
  • Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting activities
  • Coordinate with engineers, maintenance personnel, and production teams to resolve equipment issues

Responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing PLC-based control systems, electrical panels, sensors, and automated equipment to ensure safe and reliable machine operation.


Key responsibilities:


  • Install, configure, and maintain PLC control systems and electrical equipment


  • Troubleshoot PLC programs, electrical circuits, sensors, and machine controls


  • Perform preventive maintenance on PLCs, control panels, and automation equipment

  • Experience with HMI development and configuration and familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus)
