PHILIPPINE-JAPAN ACTIVE CARBON CORPORATION is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead predictive maintenance execution and supervise a team of technicians on-site. The role focuses on reliability, safety, and timely execution in a manufacturing setting within the Philippines.
The candidate will read blueprints, manage maintenance records, and collaborate with production and engineering to minimize downtime while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Responsible for leading and coordinating the execution of preventive maintenance tasks for machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure optimal performance and to minimize unscheduled downtimes. This position supervises a team of maintenance technicians and ensures that maintenance activities are performed in compliance with safety standards, maintenance schedules, and company procedures.
Lead Preventive Maintenance Execution - Plan, assign, and oversee preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
Supervise and Guide Maintenance Team - Direct technicians during maintenance and repair activities, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and timeliness standards.
Perform Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis - Diagnose equipment issues, recommend corrective measures, and implement solutions to restore operations quickly.
Manage Documentation and Reporting - Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, work orders, equipment history, and incident reports.
Enforce Safety and Compliance Standards - Ensure maintenance activities strictly follow company safety rules, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
Coordinate with Other Departments - Work closely with production, engineering, and support teams to align maintenance schedules with operational requirements.
Develop Team Competence - Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to maintenance personnel for continuous skills improvement.
Support Projects and Continuous Improvement - Assist in equipment installation, upgrades, and reliability initiatives that improve plant performance and efficiency.
At least a Technical-Vocational Certificate in Electrical Installation & Maintenance, Instrumentation or Plant Mechanic; or Associate's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Technology Engineering; Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
Licensed Mechanical Engineer is an advantage.
1-3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Fresh graduates can apply (may be considered if undergone considerable trainings/workshops and seminars)
Strong understanding of preventive maintenance systems and asset management.
Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and equipment schematics.
Knowledgeable in fabrication, welding works, cutting and other basic metal and hot works.
Knows how to drive and operate a forklift unit.
May be exposed to dust, noise, oil, grease, and varying temperatures.
Requires standing, lifting (up to 25 kg), bending, and working in a dusty or high heat work areas or in confined spaces.
Use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is mandatory.
Can comfortably converse, read, and write in English, Tagalog and Bisaya.
Computer proficiency in the use of MS office, CMMS or excel-based tracking and maintenance reporting templates;

Effective communication for shift turnover and fault reporting.
Ability to work in a team and coordinate with production, safety, mechanical maintenance, and electrical maintenance staff.
Professional conduct under pressure, especially during urgent repairs.
