Job summary

La Filipina Uy Gongco Group of Companies seeks a Robotics and Automation Engineer to encode PLC/HMI programming from machine processes and to upgrade software for security and efficiency. The role includes testing, documentation, startups, and ongoing technical support for PLC/HMI systems.

You will assist production and engineering teams, implement contingency plans, and coordinate with the Robotics and Automation Head to resolve issues per SLA, ensuring GMP compliance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Job description

1. Encodes project requirements or enhancement by converting work or process flow of the machine to Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) programming in the industrial automation environment

2. Performs application upgrades and enhancements to ensure the security and efficiency of the PLC software systems.

3. Confirms and conducts program tests, program modification, sequence, and codes.

4. Responsible for documentation, implementation, startup, and ongoing technical support of PLC and HMI user

5. Provides technical support to the end-users (production people and engineering)

6. Implements contingency plans in case system failures occur.

7. Handles, analyzes, and solves issues related to controls programming aspects of the equipment according to Service Level Agreement (SLA) set to the group.

8. Translates operation and machine process requirements into a system process.

9. Sets up and implement preventive maintenance for PLC software and HMI hardware

10. Submits of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RAM) to Robotics and Automation Head

11. Identifies areas to improve and upgrade in the process system (PLC) make recommendations if necessary

12. Diagnoses problems when machinery malfunctions, conduct electrical repairs (wiring diagram), complete work orders, and monitor product equipment performance after repair

13. Submits incident reports for all incident issues under category: High - level 1

14. Coordinates potential and identified support issues to Robotics and Automation Head and Chief Information Officer if necessary

15. Attends and updates support status system using the IT Ticketing tool

16. Resolves and shares knowledge with the team members as well as provide training

17. Communicates and coordinates within the department with other IT divisions and plant engineering departments as needed to resolve problems that are beyond Robotics and Automation department ability to resolve

18. Guides and motivates and share technical expertise on team members or project teams

19. Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safety Policy Procedures

20. Ensures to backup SCADA, PLC, and variable frequency drive systems.

21. Facilitates the project implementation and support of Robotics and Automation projects to enhance the clients' business functionality and overall performance while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction.

QUALIFICATION:

• At least 2 years to 4 years of experience in any programming languages, PHP programming, and Laravel Framework

• Integration experience with automation troubleshooting software like Siemens, Alle-Bradley, Omron Automation Software external systems, or internal legacy systems

• Knowledge and ability to ready and interpret equipment repair, installation materials, electrical wiring, and drawings schematics

• Experience in troubleshooting, read, and edit PLC logic and web or interface design

• In-depth knowledge and experience in system integrations are not only limited to API's

• Experience writing SQL queries or another Relational Database

• Experience in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programing; Siemens, Allen-Bradley, SCADA, PLC, and HMI

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Engineering or Computer Programming/ Information Technology, or other related field.
