Job summary

Asticom Technology Inc. in Taguig City, Metro Manila is seeking an Automation Engineer to direct factory deployment, equipment development, and smart manufacturing automation for high-precision consumer electronics.

The role focuses on leading specification, FAT/SAT, and factory commissioning of automated equipment, with hands-on experience in robotics, vision-guided pick & place, and DFA-influenced design for automation to enable feasibility across global teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in automation engineering with hands-on equipment development and factory deployment.
• Led specification, development, FAT/SAT, and factory commissioning of automated manufacturing equipment.
• Deep expertise in robotics, precision motor control, vision-guided pick & place, AOI systems.
• Experience with DFA influencing product architecture (pre-EVT) to enable automation feasibility.
• Ability to generate detailed Functional Requirement Specifications for automation systems.
• Proven automation vendor management from RFP through acceptance testing.
• Experience managing cross-functional, global teams and CM automation programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead specification, development, FAT/SAT, and factory commissioning of automated equipment.

Good To Have:

• Master's Degree in Mechanical, Controls, or Mechatronics Engineering.

• Direct experience in high-volume, high-precision consumer electronics (smartphones, wearables, earbuds).

• Fluency with NX, SolidWorks, or equivalent CAD for fixture/tooling design.

• Proficiency in DOE, GRR, and statistical analysis (Minitab or equivalent).

• ROI methodology and CapEx/headcount justification experience.

• Experience with SCARA / 6-axis robot programming (FANUC, ABB, Kuka, Universal Robots).

• Knowledge of machine vision systems (Cognex, Keyence) and PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley).

• Track record of cost reduction through automation innovation.
