Job summary

UpSource is hiring a Bookkeeper with Australian Accounting background as an Independent Contractor. You will handle end-to-end financial processing, BAS preparation support, client communication, and order management on an onsite setup in the Philippines.

The role follows a standard schedule of 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday, with weekends fixed off. The compensation is hourly and linked to performance over time, reflecting competitive pay in a offshore staffing context.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper with an Australian tax background.
• Proficiency in Australian bookkeeping standards (BAS awareness, Superannuation, GST handling).
• Strong customer service, communication, and email correspondence skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial recording.

Responsibilities

• Prepare purchase orders for suppliers and process PO bills.
• Issue customer invoices and process payments and receipts.
• Reconcile customer remittances and bank accounts.
• Record day-to-day financial transactions and post in accounting software.
• Prepare monthly accounts and upload for authorization.
• Process payroll and superannuation contributions.
• Prepare BAS-related reports and financial statements.
