D&V Philippines is seeking an Associate Accountant (AU) for a hybrid role in Metro Manila. You will handle month-end processes, payroll, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
With 2+ years of experience and a BS Accountancy, you will collaborate with the Finance Manager to improve procedures and support audits. Growth, training, and certifications are offered.

What you’ll be doing:
Main Responsibilities
End-of-month processes
Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany
Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and P&L analysis
Support production of month-end financial reports
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
Work closely with the Finance Manager to improve month end processes
Payroll & Superannuation
Fortnightly payroll & superannuation preparation and processing
Follow the rulings of payday superannuation, making sure compliance to avoid penalties
Maintain employee payroll records, including allowances, deductions, and leave balances
Additional responsibilities as needed
Accounts Payable
Process supplier/ vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Verify invoice details, coding, approvals, and supporting documentation
Prepare weekly payment runs
Manage supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with internal controls
Bank and Account Reconciliations
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations across all accounts
Investigate and resolve variances, errors, or unusual transactions
Ensure all financial transactions are recorded correctly and promptly
Maintain organized and accurate financial records
Assist with audit preparation
Assist with system or process improvements within the finance function
Perform ad hoc finance duties as required.

Non-Negotiable Qualifications:
At least 2 years of related work experience
Strong attention to details, analytical and critical thinking
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Can work with minimal supervision, but confident and proactive to seek clarification and guidance, if needed
A great team player, collaborating effectively with the client and colleagues
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferably a graduate of BS Accountancy
Experience in end-of-month processing, especially Balance Sheet reconciliation and P&L analysis is a plus
Experience in Australian payroll processing is a plus
Xero
CPA license is a plus
