Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Draft project plans at the beginning and as required.
• Develop a cost-effective plan and optimize resources for all functions.
• Get quotes for equipment, compare, and procure cost-efficient options.
• Create layouts for product flow, material flow, and manpower flow.
• Negotiate with suppliers and finalize purchase/service orders.
• Arrange payment terms and contracts for international purchases.
• Monitor progress and take corrective actions to meet timelines.
• Lead daily meetings for coordination and conflict resolution.
• Study and interpret drawings; request corrections as needed.
• Ensure plant design and layout comply with food safety and quality standards.

About the role

The key objective of the role is to strategize, plan, coordinate, direct, and manage project-related activities, particularly those involving factory construction, machine erection and installation, electrification, piping, and other project implementation requirements. While technical project management experience is important, the primary focus of the position will be on the candidate's stakeholder and liaison capabilities, vendor identification and development, as well as international and local logistics coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Drawing up a project plan at the beginning and as and when required

• Developing a cost-effective plan and ensuring optimization of resources for all functions

• Getting quotes for various equipment, comparing, and suggesting a suitable decision on procuring technically efficient and cost-effective equipment

• Making proper layout for product flow, material flow, and manpower flow

• Negotiating with various suppliers and service providers, finalizing the best possible rates, and preparing Purchase/service Orders

• Ensuring proper payment terms and contracts in case of international purchase of items and machineries

• Regular monitoring of the progress of project activities, taking suitable corrective actions to ensure the project gets completed as per the timelines

• Conducting daily meetings with various agencies and team members to ensure proper coordination and conflict resolution

• Properly studying and interpreting drawings, getting drawings corrected as and when required

• Ensuring the plant design and layout, including electrical, drainage, and water, comply with statutory food safety and quality system standards

About you

• BS Mechanical Engineering

• 8-10 years of required experience

• Strong experience in project planning, coordination, and execution

• Strong experience in liaising and coordination with internal and external stakeholders

• Strong experience in vendor identification, accreditation, development, and relationship management

• Strong experience in local and international logistics coordination and shipment management

• Strong experience in factory construction, machine installation/erection, electrification, piping, or similar industrial projects

• Proven project cycle management

• Software skills: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint

• Communication skills: Written & Oral in local language, and English proficiency is expected
