Job summary

Newly Weds Foods (Philippines) in Laguna seeks a seasoned Project Manager to lead mechanical engineering projects from design through execution, aligning with customer requirements, performance standards and cost estimates. Responsibilities include maintaining schedules, monitoring costs, coordinating multiple disciplines, and ensuring QA/QC compliance in collaboration with Safety and QA teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Registered Mechanical Engineer.
• Minimum of 5 years proven experience in project management.
• Familiar with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards.
• Able to work with multiple discipline projects.
• Strong knowledge of design and visualization softwares such as AutoCAD and Sketch-Up.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Willing to travel, as may be needed, for site visit and inspection.

Responsibilities

• Reviews design, specifications, and plan changes; recommends actions.

About the role

Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates. Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems

• Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions

• Controls project costs by monitoring expenditures; administering contractor contracts

• Monitors compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications in coordination with Safety Officer and QA Manager

• Performs overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, contractor's performance) and report regularly on project status

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Registered Mechanical Engineer

• Minimum of 5 years proven experience in project management
