Ascendion in Manila is seeking an IT Support/Operations Associate to monitor system health, perform basic troubleshooting, and escalate complex issues as needed.
You will follow incident procedures, document steps, and collaborate with L1 support and business teams to keep services running smoothly in a hybrid office; fresh graduates with a related degree, SQL experience, and basic Java knowledge are encouraged to apply.
To support the day-to-day operation and stability of IT systems by monitoring system health, assisting with basic troubleshooting and service requests, and escalating complex issues to the appropriate technical teams.
Monitor daily system operations and assist in identifying and resolving basic system issues.
Provide first-level troubleshooting for incidents and service requests, following established procedures and guidelines.
Assist in investigating system errors and operational issues, and escalat
Support users by addressing basic technical concerns, service requests, and system-related issues.
Coordinate with L1 support, engineers, and business teams to help ensure smooth and continuous system operations.
Follow defined SLA and incident management procedures and ensure issues are properly tracked until resolution.
Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and service requests accurately.
Assist in maintaining operational reports, knowledge base articles, and system documentation.
Participate in routine system checks, health monitoring, and other operational activities.
Learn and apply standard troubleshooting, incident management, and IT service management practices.
Graduate of Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Hands-on experience with SQL through academic projects, internship/OJT, personal projects, or professional experience.
Basic to hands-on experience with Java, including understanding of object-oriented programming and application fundamentals.
Basic understanding of IT systems, application support, troubleshooting, and incident management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and identify the cause of basic technical issues.
Good communication and documentation skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with technical and business teams.
Willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and IT operations processes.
Ability to follow established procedures, troubleshoot issues systematically, and escalating complex concerns when necessary.
Willing to work on a hybrid setup and report to the office as required.
Willing to work in a support/operations environment, including assigned shifts or schedules if applicable.
