- Participate in the design, development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of business applications, including content publishing platforms, monetization and advertising systems, and internal business tools. Assist in developing new features, enhancing existing functionalities, and resolving application-related issues based on business requirements.
Coding and System Implementation
- Develop, modify, and maintain application components using appropriate programming languages and development frameworks. Follow established coding standards, development practices, documentation requirements, and version control procedures to ensure maintainable and reliable applications.
Application Support and Troubleshooting
- Provide day-to-day technical and application support to internal users and business teams. Investigate reported system issues, identify possible root causes, perform basic troubleshooting, and coordinate with relevant technical teams when escalation is required.
Ticket Management and Issue Resolution
- Manage assigned application support tickets from initial investigation through resolution and closure. Provide timely updates to users and stakeholders, document troubleshooting steps and solutions, and ensure that recurring issues are properly identified and addressed.
Knowledge Base Development
- Create and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, frequently asked questions, and resolution procedures. Contribute to building an organized application support knowledge base that can improve response times and reduce recurring support issues.
Requirements Analysis and Technical Collaboration
- Work closely with Engineering, Product, Data, and other business teams to understand application requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions. Participate in requirement discussions, technical assessments, development planning, and implementation activities.
Testing and Quality Assurance
- Perform self-testing and basic functional testing of developed features, bug fixes, and application enhancements before deployment. Identify defects, document findings, and coordinate with relevant teams to ensure issues are addressed prior to release.
Application Release Support
- Assist with application deployments and release activities, including pre-release checks, deployment verification, and post-release monitoring. Support regression testing to confirm that existing application functionalities continue to operate correctly after system changes or updates.
Application Monitoring
- Monitor the availability, stability, and overall health of assigned business applications. Identify abnormal system behavior, errors, performance issues, or service interruptions and coordinate timely investigation and resolution.
Incident and Problem Management
- Assist in investigating application incidents by reviewing system behavior, application logs, database information, and other available technical data. Support root-cause analysis and help implement preventive actions for recurring issues.
Database and SQL Support
- Use SQL to perform basic data queries, validate application data, investigate system issues, and support troubleshooting activities. Assist in checking data accuracy and identifying inconsistencies between applications and databases.
Data Extraction and Reporting Support
- Coordinate with and support the Data Team with routine data extraction, validation, and reporting requirements. Prepare basic datasets or queries needed for operational reports, business analysis, and internal requests.
- Maintain effective communication with Product, Engineering, Data, Operations, and other stakeholders to ensure application issues and development requirements are handled efficiently and according to agreed priorities.
- Continuously develop technical knowledge and stay updated on relevant programming languages, frameworks, databases, development tools, and application support practices. Proactively identify opportunities to improve application performance, support processes, documentation, and user experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in software development, application development, or a similar technical role. Fresh graduates with strong programming skills, academic projects, internships, or relevant technical experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Experience in application support, production support, technical support, or system troubleshooting is an advantage.
- Proficiency in at least one mainstream back-end programming language, such as:
- Java
- Python
- Go (Golang)
- Working knowledge of SQL, including the ability to perform basic queries, retrieve and validate data, and use database information for troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of REST APIs, application logs, databases, and debugging/troubleshooting techniques is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate technical issues systematically.
- Service-oriented and user-focused, with the patience to assist both technical and non-technical users.
