Job Title:
Applicant Screener
Monthly Pay: PHP 20,190 - 34,190 per month
Summary:
A candidate's application starts your work, followed by a friendly call and a few basic fit questions. As an Applicant Screener, you work through assigned candidate lists and record clear answers from each conversation. You help suitable candidates reach a booked interview with a recruiter. A recruiting team lead guides your questions, screening rules, and next steps. This position is fully remote, so you work from home while supporting candidates by phone. You keep each person informed from the first call through interview reminders and follow-up. The role pays a monthly base salary plus bonus opportunities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ask basic questions about interest, availability, workspace, and spoken English. Follow the same approved question list for each candidate.
- Open assigned candidate lists in an applicant tracking system such as Greenhouse. Review application notes and plan your call order.
- Call applicants through a business phone system or dialer such as RingCentral. Introduce yourself and explain the call's purpose politely.
- Write down answers and use the recruiter's rules to mark candidates ready, not now, or not a fit.
- Explain the next step in plain words. Answer simple questions using approved information and send other questions to the recruiting team lead.
- Book ready candidates with recruiters using a scheduling and calendar tool such as Microsoft Outlook. Confirm the interview date and time.
- Send short interview reminders. Call candidates who miss interviews, ask whether they still want to continue, and arrange another booking when appropriate.
- Record each call result, answers, and next action. Make notes clear enough for another team member to understand without repeating questions.
- Share completed screening notes with the recruiter before the interview. Highlight any unanswered questions that need the recruiter's attention.
- Keep candidate records tidy and private. Mark wrong numbers, duplicate entries, and withdrawals so later calls use the correct information.
- Meet quality standards through accurate notes, polite calls, correct bookings, and quick follow-up. Use feedback to improve the next candidate conversation.
Qualifications:
- Professional spoken and written English, because calls are generally with candidates and teams in the United States.
- A computer, a mobile phone, a stable internet connection, and reliable electricity.
- No recruiting experience is required. Related phone screening, customer service, interview scheduling, or administrative experience is preferred.
- A calm, friendly phone voice and the ability to explain each next step without rushing the candidate.
- Willingness to learn the named candidate tracking, calling, and calendar tools through guided practice and clear written instructions.
- Care when entering candidate answers, interview dates, and call results, with a habit of checking unclear details.
- Respect for candidate privacy when viewing application notes, making calls, and sharing information with the recruiting team.
- Ability to follow basic screening rules consistently and ask the recruiting team lead when an answer needs guidance.
- Active listening and clear note writing, including the ability to capture key answers while keeping a conversation focused.
- A fully remote work from home setup for your candidate calls and interview scheduling tasks.
- Structured onboarding and training on the named applicant tracking, phone, and scheduling tools, with guided practice before independent tasks.
- Regular check-ins with the team lead to review questions, discuss feedback, and build confidence.
- Explore growth opportunities within the team as you develop screening accuracy and tool knowledge.
