Job summary

Turnitin is seeking a Payroll Specialist – APAC to manage end-to-end payroll processing across the Asia-Pacific region, ensuring compliance and a positive employee experience. You will work with HR/People, Finance, Legal, and Benefits teams, supported by CloudPay and PayAsia/Deel, to deliver accurate payroll across 15+ countries and 18 entities.

The role requires 3–5 years of multi-country payroll experience, APAC familiarity, and proficiency with Excel and payroll reporting tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional payroll experience in lieu of a degree.
• 3–5 years of multi-country payroll processing experience, preferably APAC.
• Hands-on experience with global payroll platforms, CloudPay and/or PayAsia/Deel is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with APAC statutory compliance requirements across countries such as Australia, India, Korea, Japan, or Philippines.

Responsibilities

• Maintains end-to-end payroll workflows for all transactions and country-specific requirements.
• Manages multi-country payroll processing across APAC using CloudPay.
• Performs payroll reconciliation and audits with variance analysis.
• Ensures compliance with reporting requirements and timely payroll tax payments.
• Assists with tax reports and data for financial statements and audits.
• Coordinates year-end payroll processes for APAC regions.
