Job summary

Equinix is seeking a Payroll Senior Specialist to lead multi-country payroll delivery across APAC. You will own complex processes, ensure compliance, and drive improvements while coordinating with HR, Finance, and vendors.

The role requires strong technical payroll knowledge, SOX control experience, and excellent English communication across diverse markets. You will influence payroll strategy and support audit readiness in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• 6+ years payroll/stock experience in multinational or shared services.
• Strong APAC country payroll processing and statutory knowledge.
• Subject matter expert for assigned countries, processes, or systems.
• Experience supporting audits, SOX controls, and payroll documentation.
• Familiarity with payroll systems and tools (ADP/Workday/SAP).
• Excellent English communication and cross-cultural collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Act as payroll SME for assigned countries or regions, advising on complex payroll and compliance.
• Apply complex pay components, stock impacts, GL outputs, and attendance data.
• Lead audits, statutory engagements, and remediation with minimal support.
• Maintain SOX controls, confidentiality and data protection standards.
• Support payroll reporting, remittances, calendars, and recurring controls.
• Manage vendor relationships and escalate payroll or vendor queries as needed.
• Coach Payroll Specialists on technical issues, resolution, and processes.
