Job summary

Merck Group is seeking an experienced Invoice Processing and Inquiry Management Operations Manager to oversee end-to-end invoice processing. You will lead a team responsible for timely, accurate processing, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining policy compliance across ERP systems.

The role requires a strong leader with deep accounts payable knowledge, KPI development, and collaboration with procurement and finance to drive efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in accounts payable or invoice processing, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, invoice matching (2-way/3-way matching), and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Experience with process optimization and implementing automation tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members, vendors, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the invoice processing team to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and productivity.
• Coach performance evaluations and provide development opportunities for team members.
• Oversee day-to-day invoice processing activities including matching, coding, approvals, and payments.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop KPIs to monitor and improve operational efficiency and accuracy.
• Resolve escalated issues related to invoice discrepancies and vendor communications.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and implement automation to streamline workflows.
• Collaborate with procurement and finance to resolve root causes of recurring issues.
